BodyTite and FaceTite FAQs

QUESTION: Am I a good candidate for BodyTite or FaceTite?
ANSWER: Good candidates have small areas of loose or sagging skin that they would like to smooth and tighten. BodyTite does reduce a small amount of fat on its own, but it would need to be paired with Liposuction in order to reduce larger amounts of fat. The best candidates are usually women after pregnancy, and men and women who have had moderate weight loss.

QUESTION: How much do the BodyTite and FaceTite procedures cost?
ANSWER: At Gallaher Plastic Surgery & Spa MD, we take a personalized approach to every BodyTite and FaceTite procedure. This means that the cost of your treatment will depend on variables like your current condition and unique treatment goals.

QUESTION: How long is the treatment?
ANSWER: Length of treatment will depend on what area of the body is being treated, how much loose skin is in that area, and if it is being paired with another procedure, like Liposuction. Overall the procedure could be as little as an hour up to several hours.

QUESTION: Are the results permanent?
ANSWER: BodyTite and FaceTite are designed to resolve loose and sagging skin at a single point in time. Further changes related to pregnancy, weight fluctuation, and the natural aging process will still cause the skin to stretch and loosen, and BodyTite cannot prevent these changes from stretching and loosening your skin.

QUESTION: Is the treatment painful?
ANSWER: A local anesthetic is used to numb the treatment area. You will remain awake, but will not feel any pain during the procedure. You will experience pain and discomfort after the procedure that can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication.

QUESTION: Is the procedure safe?
ANSWER: Absolutely! The BodyTite and FaceTite machines monitor and regulate the temperature to ensure that the heat is distributed evenly to the surface being treated. There is just a small incision that doesn’t even require stitches, so risk of infection is low.

QUESTION: Can I return to normal activities after my treatment?
ANSWER: No. You will need to rest for at least a few days following treatment, up to a week or two. The length of time will depend on the area being treated, so your doctor will provide you with specific recovery times and instructions after your procedure.

QUESTION: When will I see results?
ANSWER: You will notice results immediately, and your body will continue to recover, seeing full results within a few months.
